Hi,
Is there a way to use Print server to print from Baan. Baan is on NT and client on XP.

Thanks

I do not know all of the details, but we do print two different ways in our environment. Our Baan is on Unix and our clients are windows 2k. So most printers are setup to print off the Unix printer server - so I would assume you could do the same thing with NT. In our case the Unix server is setup to use the print server and in Baan the device just points to the print queue.

The second method of printing is using the default printer for the client. In our case the client printer is setup to print off one of the netware servers. This is done using Baans normal setup for Windows printers.

Not sure if this helps since your are talking NT.

Yes, we definately can configure the Print Server for Baan application.

Basically what we need to do is on your server (Unix) create the REMOTE printer device which will have the ip-address or host-name of the printer server followed by the device name on Print Server.

Then within Baan application, just use the create unix device.

I have done it for one client.
