somebody knows in a session of creation of the domain, the field Divide Factor why is necessary?

From the help:

Divide Factor
The factor by which the entry in a field is divided.
Example Divide factor = 100 The user enters 25009 in the field. Tools divides 25009 by 100 and displays 250.09.
It can be useful for fields containing amounts.
Note
This entry can only be filled in a domain of the double or float data type.
