I have two sort fields for my form. Suppose,X and Y. I want in one display total by X(Sort field2) and at the end of the form, Total Amount by Y(Sort field 1).

Something like this.. This is the example of the Report,

Ledger Account : XXXXXXXXXX

____________________________________________________________________
Business Partner | Name | Net Amount | Tax Amount|
____________________________________________________________________
ABC |ABC Heavy Industries |10000.00 |1000 |
ABC |ABC Heavy Industries |10000.00 |1000 |
____________________________________________________________________
|Total(BP)| 20000.00 |2000 |
_____________________________________________________________________

____________________________________________________________________
Business Partner | Name | Net Amount | Tax Amount|
____________________________________________________________________
DEF |DEF Heavy Industries |10000.00 |1000 |
DEF |DEF Heavy Industries |10000.00 |1000 |
____________________________________________________________________
|Total (BP) | 20000.00 |2000 |
_____________________________________________________________________
|Total(By Ledger Account) | 40000.00 |4000 |
____________________________________________________________________

Now i can use display.total.fields, but this total fields comes at the end of the form, apart from this i also want it in the middle of the form also.

Is this possible?

Hi,

I don't think its directly possible by playing around with DFE. There can be work arounds though.

You can create a temporary table 1 to store your data. Once done, You can create another table 2 with only 2 fields. One with sequence and second with the data field(string field). Now, just insert your sorted data into this table in whatever format you require in the second field.

Now, create a display session with table 2 as your main table. It should show your data as required. Just remove the sequence field from the form.

Not an advisable one, but should serve the purpose if required.
