When I add CDF field to a table and open the session on Web-UI or Mingle I'm able to see the CDF fields available on a special tab on the standard session.

But, these fields cannot be seen when the session is opened on Worktop.

For it to be visible on Worktop - I need to customize the standard session to add the CDF field.

When the CDF concept was introduced to avoid customization of components, how shall I get the fields on the session on Worktop; without customizing the standard session?
Or is it that CDF saves us from customizing the table only?

By customizing- I mean of getting the component on to Custom VRC

Check the Administration Guide. It clearly states that CDF fields are only supported in WebUI.

CDF are only supported in WebUI no worktop, there are many other restrictions that applies to CDF, mentioned in Administrator Guide as Jaap already suggested.

I had to Customize the session, as a division of my users are still using classic Infor LN BW UI. :)
