Dear All,

Wish you all dear BAANBOARD members a very very happy and prosperous New Year 2015.

We want to auto BAAN session time out. Because some users are not properly closing BAAN login and unnecessarily consuming license and creating server overhead.

We want to set the ideal time to 10 minutes, so that any user ideal for 10 minutes will be automatically logged out.

Awaiting your kind reply.
Regards

Hello,

by using "SEARCH" in forums, one of the first results shows:

Use search before posting, please.

Hello Bdittmar,

Thanx for your valuable suggestion. As a common practice we search first and if not found then we post a thread. I have already gone through this thread. and as per the findings I have created a file named as "all" in $BSE/lib/defaults/.

Then I edit the file and put session_timeout:2

I have attached my file also. Kindly look into this.

But even though the baan user is idle for 2 minutes, its not automatically logout as it should be .

Kindly advise whether any thing I am missing or doing wrongly.

Regards
Haraprasad

Which UI do you use for working with ERPLN? I found this information on Infor support:

Web UI does not support the session_timeout setting of the bshell.
For a web application it is more common to set the session expiration time on the web server.

This information is 4 years old, maybe Infor changed something in last 4 years?
