difference of above date should be in month , its result is 41 month

try this

long date1,date2,date1.time,date2.time, date.diff, date1.long, date2.long

utc.to.local(date1, date1.long, date1.time)
utc.to.local(date2, date2.long, date2.time)

date.diff = abs(date1.long - date2.long)



date 1 and date2 will be ur input date

use utc.add() and pass the date with -ve sign... u will get your result.
