Same question was asked to me somewhere, "what is session templates?", so I never heard about session templates in ERPLN, so i started this thread.

What i explored on this is as follows:

templates are available for various things.

i found about user data template, sales order templates, Service user templates and many more.

but didn't get exact idea about it.
