Do you need source code to generate ddc's? i.e. to take a standard Baan session and generate a ddc - if I need to modify the generated session to remove the parts I don't need and add logic that wasn't generated don't I need the source to compile any changes?

if you want to use session "Function Server Generator"(tuddc9201m000)
you need having the source.
The session, the script, the forms must all be in the same Development VRC. your user must be in the same pVRC and have developper setting set.
