Is there a function to return the path separator of the local host? (i.e. windows it is "\" and unix is "/")

There is ostype, but I think it is for the server - not on the local client. Not aware of another command that would tell you the client OS. Not sure, but maybe if you explained what you are trying to accomplish someone will have another idea. There is this thread (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?t=62462&highlight=client) as related to 4c4 and using a batch file. There were other options I saw just searching on client - not sure which might work for you.
