we developed customised report and defined order from and to only in the selection param and form
& compiled the same without error

while executing the session and defined the order no in form (from-to) the system is not accepting, it display message as " enter value for currency field"

why this message ? how to rectify

As i understand it is a form type4 session without main table. As you are inputing order number it might be performing transaction on the main table.
Please check

start command of the session and form type you provided during session creation( it should be type4 without main table).
