Dear Baan/LN Masters,


Is is possible to run the MS reporting intergration with the oracle database? as from the technology diagram, it seems the plugin run in the ERP LN enggine, not directly to the database, so i'm assuming the reporting service works also in different DB.

Has anyone tried this method?

In my opinion MS reporting needs its own SQL database.

Yes, we still need the SQL database, what i mean if there's an exisiting customer that already installed with oracle, we only need to install the new SQL server as the reporting server, no need to migrate the data to SQL.

I think so. I am in the process of implementation MS reporting and my ERP LN database is Oracle.

For MS Reporting you need SQL Server, but just for the reporting part. LN can be on any database that is supported for LN. Actually the LN print sessions dump the data into XML, which is processed by the LN plug-in.
