tracs000.frno is a LONG type field
cadr is a STRING length 6

So, before we get to 1000000, we will have to change all cadr fields and roll the tracs000.frno back to 1. I already have a plan for this (character "A" followed by hex value of current cadr), but it is so aggravating. Thanks, just needed to vent...Have a great day!

My suspicion on some of these things are from the original development. So when they developed it they could not imagine somethings getting this large. Or in our case - after running for 12 years why aren't you archiving, rather than worrying about running out of purchase order numbers. Heck - our baan database is just a drop in the buck to some of the other databases. I mean employee ID should be about 10 and contain alpha-numerics. I have been thru some of this in the last week or so, since corporate(or someone) wants to change employee ID's.
