I heard that in FP7 it is possible to invoke an external web service from Ln script. It means: from a 4GL (or 3GL) script it is possible to call a web service of another, external application.

Is it official? If yes, how can we do it? Do you have some documentation about (NOT generic documentation, but specific doc about my problem).

Yes, it is official.
You can even generate a 3GL script from a wsdl file if you're using Application Studio.
Documentation about calling web services can be found in the LN programmers guide.
