I am importing data through Import exchange module ..I am unable to insert the date field .I guess I have to put some condition for inserting the date ..But How to do it ??

in maintain ASCII files define the date field as Numeric, and remove date separators in the ASCII file.

Date format on exchange scheme master and in ascii file must be same (like mmddyyyy ,mmddyy etc ). Did u check that.
