Hi,

I have a question regarding data exchange.

When I perform Data Exchange to put in items to the table (tcibd001) for the Items - General, I notice that the subentities are not automatically linked unless I refresh the item type specification by manually selecting the items.

Is there anyway to write a script for to automate the update the automatic the linking of the items added to the items general to the subentities?

Are Import Via DAL and DAL Property Checks selected in the Table Relations (Import) session?

Also ... for each of your Item Groups and Item Types, are Use Item Defaults selected on the Subentities tab of the Items General Defaults session?

Thanks Mike,

You saved me quite a bit of time... I discovered someone didn't fill in the Item Defaults for some of the Item types so the DAL didnt make a difference for some of my entries because of that... I thought it was some kind of bug or something.
