I have a form that displays the item field and description. I tried to limit the display characters of the item field to only show 18 characters. When the form is displayed it still shows all 47 and overlays other fields in its path. Did I miss something or is there a way to control this?

You should be able to adjust this using the Link/Max Displ. Length fields when you are entering/editing a form field. If you uncheck the link box, you can enter the maximum display length. I'm guessing that you have already done this based upon your comments, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Yeah, I have tried that. This is present in Baan series and I assume it has something to do with the segmented domain.

Every now and then I have to do a create RDD on forms and sessions, before I see my changes. It only happens once in a while and I have not tried to figure out why. Since I am not familiar with Baan series I thought I might suggest this.
