I have a very long string variable (over 1000) that I am trying to pass to the spool.buf() function. But the result is that the first 500 charcters are printed to the device only!

Is this a known limitation? I could not find it anywhere. Or did this got fixed in some SP (im am in SP 10) or porting set?

I am surprised you get 500 characters - report width is usually limited to 255(I think). I have never tried more than that.

U r right . It's still the same in later sps. ttstpdisplay or ttstpsplclose has the limitation of 500 characters internally.
