I would like to modify the length (increase it by 4 to 5 characters) of the field called “rdir” (“save under directory”) in and EDI session.

Should I be in “Programmer’s Mode” and do a “Modify” then apply the change on the length to all Batch records??

You will have to modify the table definitons and then do CRDD for the table .
