How do I populate some shortcut keys(keyboard) for the prpose of replacing the buttons

for example: I have a function called update.all.dates(), and I want user to press F7or F9 or whatever a key to excute that function.

To assign short cut keys you can goto form commands. When you create new form command with function you can select short cut key at there in short cut key option at bottom of that session ttadv3118s000. All the best.
