Hello,

When a report is send to an ASCII file, using ttstpconv with the ASCII argument, any tab characters in the output are replaced with spaces.

Is there a parameter that allows one to avoid this? I need to create an ASCII file from a custom report in tfcmg1260s000 and the reciepient requires that it uses tabs as the field separator. The mentioned functionality sabotages my attempts...

Thanks...

Jan.

You can create another device that does not use ttstpconv. Maybe this helps.

Best regards,
Dick

Hi,

I agree with Dick. Here is another thread on this issue:

I hope it helps,

Hi again,

I ended up doing what I hoped to be able to avoid: developing a simple ttstpconv replacement. Without documentation on the format of the device indipendent report file that is a bit of a trial and error process, but it did solve the problem!

Thanks for the replies...

Jan,

Sounds as big project that can help others as well. Can you share the source here?

Best regards,
