For a newbie, what standard programming language is Baan closest to?

C+ ?

ABAP/4?

Something else?

Are there any tutorials or books out there, like 'Learn to program Baan in 21 days'?

I don't know ABAP/4 and baan programming is no where near c++. Long story short, it is event driven 4-GL language.

Unfortunately there is no book to learn baan.

Hi,

when you look at it, the function section kinda look like C with SQL.
For my part, i knew C and i knew SQL. With the Baan programming guide, i learned the 4GL stuff and was able to work in Baan.

You need the SQL for the Oracle part. If you're ok with C progamming, get the programming guide from Baan and you'll be up and running in no time.

U may refer / print online tools help (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?t=54621&highlight=ttadv7450m000) besides the online documentation on this board .

When asked about this, my answer is always "Its a mix of C with PL SQL" =)
