Dear Guru,

I want ur help in Scripting. The report I had attached to this mail has 5 fields.
See the last three fields at the right. Trans.Typ,Amount,Balance.
Study this three fields and help me to develop a script for Balance field.
It is the sum of Amount field always. See the attachment and u will understand it. Thanks in advance.

Can you please elaborate on your quest some more?

Do you have a working report and you need to change it, or, do you want to rebuild this report?

hello suhaib,
From ur post i understood that u want the total of balance field,so u goto to reports , edit the layouts and take a form field below the balance field ,and clik on that their in the "Print expression" u select the balance field and rest all option as usual ,but in "Aggregate funtion " option select "total" i hope u will get.

Dear All,

That attachment was only an example. the users want to see the balance from amount for examplle u see that
Transtyp Amount Balance
inv 5000 5000-0=5000
Pay -2000 5000-2000=3000
Cn -1000 3000-1000=2000
i.e based on different transtyp amount has some value. The balance fields
holds the previous balance value and add with the new amount field everytime.
u go through attachment u will understand. I wnat tot write a script based on it.
