When I modify a label, the change is done , but if I delete or add a field nothing changes. Is there anything else to do for the change take effect?

I'm not sure where you are making the changes?
Usually if it is a form you need to Generate Form Dump. With a table you need to Convert to Runtime Data Dictionary with the Reconfigure table option.

If it's a field in a database table you are trying to add/delete on a NT-server, you have to check if you run in Shared Memory. If so, you have to restart the Shared Memory before the changes takes effect.
