Many sessions in Baan have messages that only show up in an ASCII interface. These take the place of buttons in the GUI interface. For example tdpur4101m000 (Maintain Purchase Orders) displays the message "Start processing to maintain lines".

These messages appear when the session starts, and do not go away. If another message appears, this one comes back when it is done.

I'm trying to figure out how to replicate this. I tried this:
before.program:
if graphical.mode = 0 then
mess([messcode], 0)
endif

This did not work. Nothing appears. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Go to form, choice field.

There is an help message in it. Just fill it and put the flag yes to Help Message under gui.
