We have a standard message lying in the B40_c4 layer. This message is used by scripts in the layer B40U_c4_stnd. Now we want to modify the message text, so we had to copy the message to our customization layer B40C_c4_cust and change it. Even after changing it, the new message text does not appear when the script/session is run.

Is this because the script is in B40U_c4_stnd and it is looking for messages from stnd and above and not below it, where our customization layer is?

VRC structure is B40_c4 --> B40U_c4_stnd --> B40C_c4_cust.

You are correct.

Can you check for the following:

- it is necessary that the Company is associated with the Customized Package Combination
- the USERs are associated with that Company and that Customized Package Combination.

You might also try a convert or create runtime data dictionary on the session. Don't forget to logout and back into Baan.
