Hello everybody,
I would like to know if someone has already used Outlook 2007 to send mail from Baan 5c with success. We have this issue and we're forced to use Outlook 2003 and below.
When I try to send a mail in a computer with Outllok 2007, the system send this message:
"Not a valid argument in command line. Check the modifier you're using"
or something like that, I'm translating from spanish.
The device has this settings:
Type: Rewrite to file
4GL Programm: ttstpconv
Argument: RTF:outlook.exe %s (please note that the purple icon represents a ":" and a "o")
Route: outlook.rtf
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Eric

One hint is when posting with code - turn smiles off. It is a check box at the bottom when creating a new thread.
Second - search the complete board(not just tools forum) on outlook. I don't use Baan with outlook, but there should be a lot of threads on this

Thanks for the hint Mark. And for the Outlook issue, I did a search in the forum, and there's some threads, but not refering to 2007 version, but I'll keep seraching.
Thanks again

Yeah - I did not see anything related to 2007. I did just set up a device like you mentioned and it works great for me, but we are on Outlook 2003.

Has anyone already a solution for 2007?

We had similar issue and got the solution for LN Tools version. Check with Baan Support for a corresponding fix for Baan-4 versions.
SolutionID 226417
English Printing of reports to Outlook SP3 results in error message
TOOLS VERSION(S):
7.6_a1, 7.6_a2, 7.6_a3, 7.6_a4, 7.6_b4
SITUATION IDENTIFIED IN:
"Conversion to Word Processor" (ttstpconv)
SITUATION DESCRIPTION:
When trying to use ttstpconv to email reports to Microsoft Outlook 2003 Service Pack 3 from within Baan the following message is returned from Outlook to the user's screen: "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using." This is only happening with Outlook 2003 SP3, problems do not occur on user's workstations having Outlook 2003 SP2 or 2002 SP3.
SOLUTION DESCRIPTION:
When Outlook was started with the command "outlook.exe file", an e-mail was created and the file was attached to the message. With Outlook SP3 the command is no longer sufficient: The switch /a is needed to attach a file to an E-mail message. This change is implemented in the object ottstpconv.
