I would like to know the text number of text in my tech documentation. Does anyone know what table the text number is stored? For example, I have look at table ttadv230. I am surprised to NOT see a field for tech document and release notes.

They are stored in table ttadv150 for all objects (sessions, forms, scripts, reports, etc).

We are considering using notepad as the editor. How would you disconnect a text file when the file is in notepad format?

I think disconnecting an existing text from the database may not be possible in notepad . Try selecting all CTRL + A , delete it and save . Then check the text in database whether text is made 0 or not .
