I would like to know if it is possible to sense the input given by user without having to press the tab or use mouse so that we can automate the processing at our end.We need to do the same for bar code scanning program wherein the scanner output is displayed on screen. We used to take the output in notepad and then use it for entering details into baan.We however found that if we open a baan session with input fields the scanner output comes on the input field automatically. However it would be difficult for the user to press tab everytime he scans an item.So we need to automatically save the values once it gets displayed on screen. Is there some socket programming in Baan whereby we can do the same.??:(

If your scanner can enter data in baan directly (like by keyboard), you don't need socket programming.

I think there a many threads about this in baanboard .

One example:

Entering data on form type 3, with barcode; data+tab (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?t=35541)

Hi BaanCust,

any good hand scanner (Metrologic, etc.) can be programmed (usually just by scanning a special barcode ) to automatically append a Tab (or enter) at the end of the scanned data. Please refer to the user manual of your scanner.
