Hi,
can anybody help me?
Currently we are about to install a new environment under ERPLN 6.1 FP3.
The big problem is, compiling reports takes minutes now!
Under BaaN4 a report was compiled in 2-10 seconds.
Now it is always about 5 minutes!
Is there any way to speed up compiling?
We use a informix database. I've already done a update statisitcs on the tools tables.
Any hint?
Cu

Did you cache your dictionary, are table definitions stored in shared memory? I have had a similiar problem in the past and as far as I can remember it had to do with this.

Did you check the output of tracing wit TT_SQL_TRACE=0200 already? During compilation a lot of tools tables are read, perhaps this is slow?

It could indeed be a query issue, if not, use the Call Graph Profiler to get the problem.

Hello,
the problem still exists.
I used the "Graph Profiler"
And attached the results.
Can anybody make something out of it?

It is somethink outside the Baan application, so maybe the compiler or so. Anyway, the CGP indeicates that it is not taking 5 minutes, but less than 2. I know it is still al lot of time, but please be more accurate next time. I think you better log an inquery at Infor for this.
Kind regards,
Dick
