I would like to know if there is a way of highlighting read-only text.

At the moment, when a user goes into Item text via the Maintain Sales Order Line session, it is flagged as read-only (the 'Write-Protection' checkbox is ticked on the session's 'Texts ...' option).

This works as you would expect, i.e. any text you may enter is not saved. However, this leads to confusion as the editor allows the user to type text and even asks the user if he wishes to save the changes.

What would be great is if viewing text in read-only mode the session would:

(a) Put up a message or heading that any text mods will not be saved, or
(b) Not allow typed characters to be echoed, or
(c) Highlight the read-only status in some other way (e.g. changing the background colour of the text editor)

My client does not have the scripts. They use Wordpad as an external editor.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.
