I have been using Scite editor on Baan ERP and SSA Ln 6.1.
This is the first time I am working on Baan4a.

Does Baan4a support external editors other than vi? I tried notedpad but it gave me an error. Please let me know.

I think all of baan 4 supports external editors. I think you set it up in the developers parameters. I do not know the exact session number.

In Baan-IV B2, I think only vi will work. If yes, can u please explain me how to do this.

We use "Editplus" instead of "vi". See attached Word document for the developer parameters. On BaanIV C3, the development parameters still use the old DOS naming specs.

Thanks for your reply. But in Baan-IV B4, in developer data, there is no option for starting editor on so I can not use editor which is in my local PC. My server is sun solaris.
