Hi Baanboard people,

I have a baan session which needs to be run for all super users logging in.
I have not used BMS Mask session (ttadv4188m000), and as our production and test share the same '000' company, I am little bit scared about putting anything in the BMS session before understanding the whole thing.

So what are the steps to put a session in the BMS session (ttadv4188m000).

Thank you,

Why not use ttaad2106m000(Maintain Startup Sessions)? I used to have it setup to launch a session every time I logged into test.

How exactly does this work ?
(I havent used this either )

Thank you,

Basically you set-up a startup group like supstart in ttaad2107m000. Then you set the sessions for the startup group using ttaad2106m000. Next you maintain the user settings in ttaad2105m000 and set this startup group for the user-id. Do a convert to runtime - then the next time the user logs in the startup session should appear. We just put in SP19 and I am not sure if this still works - we don't use it, but it was something I played with once. You can probably search the board for the session numbers and find more information.

Mark,
We need to have a session run by all users when they login, (as the creation of group and assiging to it each user might get painful), Any ideas on using the BMS Mask session ?

Thank you,

No - I have never used it. I was just thinking it was for your superusers. Try doing some searches for startup sessions - it seems to me there are other options.

Link found (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?t=22299&highlight=startup+sessions). See if that one option might work. It seems to me there was another post about doing it in a bshell script, but I could not find it.

Mark,

Thank you very much that link did help.

But still I tried to put in a session in the BMS Mask session and logged in and it did bring up the session (but before the session comes up, it gives a wierd 2 line error, when I run the session manually the error does not come up).

Thank you again.

How about a screen shot of the error?

My thought for the day - have you tried putting it in debug mode to see if something specific in the program causes the problem? If not this sounds like a problem for baan support.
