Hi to all dev gurus,

What are the differences between Baan IVc4 scripting and Ln6.1 scripting? Other than of ofcourse the table definition of the two. Im just a little bit curious. Thanks for your input and more power to you. :)

The standard programming language is not too different. Differences come in with the dynamic forms and sessions and of course DAL2. Reporting is exactly the same as in 4c.

I agree, not very different. Another minor difference, when you are upgrading it's kind of a pain, the messages that have % substitutions now make you say what order you are giving the substitutions in. For example, what used to be the baan IV / V message:

The Employee %s expires on %d

Now needs to be changed to

The Employee %$1s expires on %$2d


This I imagine is because different languages not only convert the message to a new language, but sometimes the order of the substitutions must change too.
