When using the text.read function, a subprocess window pops up if the text number is 0 is there any way to disable this subprocess. I could check the text record to see if it was 0 before calling the function, but I was just wondering if there was a faster way to do this. Thanks

Checking the text number before calling text.read is the fastest way. In that case you don't need to create the file where text.read should put the text.
