Hi Everyone,

I need to run a new session in Baan4 environment which has no dev. license.
I compiled the baan session in another Baan4 environment which has dev. license. Then I export data dictionary for the session with forms, programs and reports.

I imported data dictionary into the environment which has no dev license and expect it to work. But I receive this message..."Can't read session or object"

What must I do now?

Thanks and regards

Hi,

In my situation in the previous thread, I forgot to ask.

1) Is it because I do not have dev license in the environment, that the session is unable to run? Must I have dev license? My new session has no new tables. I think I should be able to start the session, right?

2) If I create a new session that uses new tables, can i run this session?
Will the import data dictionary be able to create the new tables in the no dev-license environment? And will this new session be able to run?

3) I have not run create/convert runtime dd. Should I run create/convert, so that my session which i imported in, will be able to run?

Thanks and regards,

Hello,

Create RDD for that session should solve the problem.

Hi,

Never worked on this kind of setup.

If CRDD is not working, just check you have access to Tools > Application Development > Compact Development Menu. If it is, then, just dump Form(s), compile Report(s) and script. Re-login.

Also check authorization.

Hope this helps.

First check wheather your session is working in environment with dev.licence, if no then rename the session and run the session it will work, some times back, I have faced the similar problem.

Hi Kingsto88,

For baan 4c4,

You do not need dev. licence.
Go to maintain session, form 1 and change session status (developing to testing) and save it.
