Hi everyone,

I have migrated my baan4c4 system to Sun server with Oracle database.
Now whenever I open a report layout, it is slow, takes 5 seconds before the layout black box appear on the screen.

Please anyone faced this problem before and any suggestion why this is so.

Thanks and regards,

Try recompiling the report objects. This might help.

Hi,

The new server is on

1) Sun 2.8
2) Oracle 9i
3) Baan 4c4 with SP 7
4) Porting set is 6.1c.07.03
5) Baan client is BW078

Hope this help.

Suribaan,

We have recompiled the object but it is when we want to open and change the layout that the system is slow. Other than this scenario, all other performance is ok.

Thanks and regards

Try turning some logging on and see if you see a query taking an extra long time. Seems to me we had to rebuild/re-index a couple of tools tables once for something like this. Do not recall the details. I typically use -set TT_SQL_TRACE=0200.

May be a delayed response . SP 17 is the latest one . Try upgrading SP's and even the porting set if possible .

As indicated by Mark , u can also turn on the tracing on for the report layout session. Layout reads the data from tables ttadv331 through ttadv335 . Check if any problem in particular with these tables.
