Hi All,

In GTM ttaad4100 Programmers Mode (Press * at choice option) infront of table fields we can see len column. Plz tell me what indicated the value of the len column.

As I had tried to compare the value given in the len column with the length of the field in the Maintain Table Definitions (ttadv4120m000). It does not matches. For ex. the field posi of tdpur045 in ttadv4120m000 shows length as Integer 4 whereas in ttaad4100 it allows 5 nos (12345).

Please clarify me this matter.

Many Thanx,

GANESH

The integer*4 I think means 4 bytes not 4 positions. Check the domain on that field on form 2 it will tell you the number before decimal sign or a range.

Hi Mark,

Thanx for your suggessitions, I had checked the same the no.before decimal sign matches with the length of the field in ttaad4100.

Thanx

It is the no. of bytes that are consumed.
So , in case of string the physical length & this length would match.
But in case of double it will be 8
Date - 4 ,
long - 4 ,
Integer - 2 ,
Enums - 1,
Multibyte String - 32 & so on.

If you want to know the physical length it can be seen in Maintain Domains according to the domain.
