Hi all,

do somebody know the error message "Error in reading sort file record..."?
It appears at executing a print session. The print-out will be created, but the content is incomplete.

Hope somebody can help me.

Thanks

Regards
Nicole

Hi ,

Check out the total no. of fields defined in the Input fields.
If this is high enough then this error is popped up.
Remove the unnecessary fields that are defined in the Input fields of the Report. Hope this would solve yr problem

You may also need to check out the data for the report. Sometimes a non-printable character gets into the data and causes this error. Basically the report expected to read x number of input variables and instead found y. Put the report in debug mode and search for string.scan. This is probably where the error occurs. By checking what it did read in (in debug mode) it may help you find the bad data.

I also come across the problem in standard baan tool report ttadv4430m000. I cant check in the report in debug mode.

Can suggest what is potential cause?

If it is in a tools report then I would report it to infor. There is a possibility something in one of the tools table could have an issue or the report itself. You can try narrowing down what you print until you find the specific record, but I would report it to infor.
