Hi,
I've created a session which print a report and make an ascii file.
When I use the device D (Display) for the report, the file is correctly created on the unix server but when I use a Windows Printer with preview(bwprint), the file is not created !!
How you explain that ?
Thanks for your help.
Gwen

How are you directing it to print an ASCII file? Through the script or some other option?

Hi Gwen,

can you please explain the problem clearly...

Are you trying to write the log file with your own coding ?

(or)

If you are redirecting the output of the report to an ASCII file and its not created with the bwprint?

We faced a similar problem that the files were not printed on Windows'98 client systems and logged call with BaaN Support. But the files are actually created inside the BaaN folders. I guess they still have to fix the portability across different platforms.

In fact, we are creating the ascii file directly in the report script.
we do not modify the standard report. so we have 2 outputs:
an ascii file and a standard report
