Hi All friends

I noticed (by chance) that when we create a new item by duplicating an existing one, in the session General Item Data (tcibd0501m000), Baan duplicates also the existing item in the sessions Item Customer/Supplier Information (tdisa0510m000 and tdipu0510m000). In this way, unwanted combinations Item-Customer and Item-Supplier have been created. Is this Baan standard, and if so, for what reason ? If this is not the Baan standard, what could be the resolution.

Thanks in advance
Mahmood

Can't you choose what you wanna copy when duplicating an item?
If I remember right there is a new session opening when you click on the copy-button in which you can select what you wanna copy.

Hi Malutz,

Yes, in duplacting an item, its only allow to give the item code and some other parameters, but no option to define not to create the item in the sessions Item Customer/Supplier Information (tdisa0510m000 and tdipu0510m000). In this way, unwanted combinations Item-Customer and Item-Supplier have been created.

Thanks

I am not able to find your session codes, but I ?understood? what you mean? As we were also facing creation duplicate items, for that, I created a simple print session and our buyer use it before creation of item. Screen-shot attached herewith.

hi suhas-mahajan and friends

This is not the over case. Actually I wanted to know if this is the Baan standard that if copy an item, then it must duplicate the relation with customer/supplier. It this is so, then what should considered to avoid to creation of unwanted combinations of "Item-Customer" and "Item-Supplier".

Thanks in addvance
