If I create a report through CrystalReports(thru crystal baan driver)
and when I run the report
1) Does it consume licence??
2) Does it check all the database authorizations?
3) Does it check User permissions??

and not but not least
People use crystal reports only for the good UserInterface right??
or Does it improve any performance?
If I execute a query thru Crystal what is the execution path?
Does it goes to Bshell->DBDriver-> Database or Does it directly goes to DB???

Performance wise(Leave abt the UI) which one to prefer CrystalReport or Baan Report??

1 - On our system it does not appear to consume a license.
2 - It honors database authorizations if present.
3 - It honors company and session authorizations.

The Baan driver does not provide the best in performance, however it provides access to the unique aspects of Baan data not easily available through native database access.

It uses fs6.1 to access Baan.
