There is a Component Merge Tool menu in the Application development menu of baan tools. What is the exact use of this? What does it do?

From knowledge quest CD:


It supports the merging of Program Scripts, Libraries and Functions. Customizations made to an older BAAN release can be merged with the new BAAN release.


Never used it and actually never knew it was there until you mentioned it.

CMT only works on Unix. You need to have RCS installed to be able to use it.
