We would like to hide config button from bw.exe file for security as we have deployed BaaN client centrally through Window Terminal Server.

Can anybody help ?

I am not sure you can. We wanted to keep people from hard coding in the password. I think what we do for our normal users is to always push out a default.bwc file when the log in, but they even work around that. I hope you find a solution. On our shop floor terminal they only have access to icons on the desk top. And the Baan icon runs with a hardcoded login that only gets them one or two sessions.

another option is to hack the bwconfig.dll with http://www.users.on.net/johnson/resourcehacker/

if you edit control for the button they cannot see it (see attchment)
the only problem is you have to do this to each new version of the client

Some good info. If we ever re-visit this issue I will keep this post in mind.

Thanks
