One of the best ways of importing inventory is through Cycle counting orders. In such cases the system stock would be "0" if the item is new and the physical stock can be entered. After completing all the records the cycle counting order can be processed and the inventory will be updated in Baan with the physical stock that was entered.

Try this!!!!

I think there are quite a few tables that would also need to be loaded(locations, warehouses, etc.). I think you will also need to update the item master for the quantity on hand. I would just check all the table references on the tables you know you need to load. What about Mauc?

One of the reasons I advocate using the inventory adjustment session or cycle count orders is so you do not have to do all this research. I do not know the tables good enough to give a list. This would also depend on what your setup is.

Good Luck!

Hi,

You can use the exchange module and import data into the table "tdilc501" for cycle counting orders from the text file that is available. Then, just process the cycle counting orders and Baan will take care of updating the necessary tables which would be accurate than trying to update all tables through a script.

Hope this will be of help.

John.
