Hi,
I would like to implement touch screen functionality in one of our areas in organization. So instead of using mouse the user can click by touching on screen a baan session. What is involved in it? Do we need to implement any thing special in Baan for it.

hello avpatil
no, you do not need any special programming from baan side.
the touch screen functionality is implemented in the hardware itsef. (actions on the screen act like the mouse).
just keep in mind.
- if you do not have any keyboard attached, how does the user enter any letters or figuers?
- normaly normal buttons are desigend to use with the mouse, but fingers may a littel bit larger (size of button).

We are looking on this too, touch screen, particularly for the floor and inventory; we had pretty much automated these processes where users only need barcode readers. Just buying the touch screen will do for open BaaN sessions with the DEM?
Thanks in advance

You can display a virtual keyboard on screen to enter data;
You can increase the size of the fonts (larger fonts).
