Hi ,
I have a table where the time field has string data type .
And need to make subtractions with the time fields.
How can i change the string type to long or any other type where i can make calculations. Is there something like 'string to long function'
I must do it in script. and not changing the type from the table.

use the LVAL function

If the value in question is a numeric other than a long, you can use the val() function. It returns a double.
