In BAAN IV,how to change the definition of domain such as the length of a text(eg: tc.txtn)?I want to change it from 10 bits(default value) to 16 bits.

The session for Maintaining Domains is tdadv4100m000 (baanIVc)
I am not sure about your example using length of bits.
the types are string,integer,long,float,double,enumerated set,date,test,multibytestring.
Also the domain name you have used in the example looks very much like tctxtn which is used pervasively as a text number (actually a number).
I would be very careful when changing a Baan-defined domain. I suggest that you add a new domain if you want something different. For example if you want a string field say 41 bytes long you could define a domain of Data Type string with a length of 41 and alignment left/right/centered/not etc and call it 'tcmcs.str41' (similar to numerous the baan provided 'tc' strings.

In matain item data(tiitm001), when i enter 20 charters in "item text". In sql query( ttadv3180), i create a query to display the field "item text".But only 10 charters can be seen.
How can i see the 20 charters in "item text" ?

Hello ftcwzg,
i think it's a problem ouf our query. In the report data of the query ttadv3184m000/ttadv3134s000 ( see attachment) you can maintain the field data of a report field. Disable link to domain and change the print length of the field from 10 to 16.

for image binding a table field should be declared in ttgyf.picture,(for image, domain should be what data type?)is it string or long .....or what ,pls tell fast sir.....
