I have a situation where a user is already in a maintenance session but has collected some data after zooming to a subsession. I now want to automate the update of several fields in this session and also a subsession that is zoomed to after entering data in one field -- and when that is done, I want to still be in this session (albeit with the updated data on the form).

What is the best way to enter this data automatically (without any user intervention) and still run each of the field events? Can I use stpapi calls since I am already in the session? Should I attempt to use events to simulate data entries and "tab" key presses?
