hi
I am on Baan5.0c
PMC directory on my server is huge, it contains about 3,5 GB of files. Especially subdirectories Import and Unistall. I would like to get more free space on my disk so I am going to delete them. I suppose they are necessary during the installation of Service Packs and maybe also to have the possibility to uninstall them but I am not going to do that.
I will only leave the directories structure.

LET ME KNOW if I am wrong :-) before I will delete the files.

Djie-En: Pls. use ttpmc2220m000 for cleaning the dirs. Solution 131727.This indeed is new functionality, it was not implemented in the past. Use with caution. Do not remove solutionfiles that you may need (in the future) and you do not have backed up somewhere somehow.

This is built in since approx 1.5 years back... you can see an indicator that tells you the percentage done and the number of total intalled solutions and the number of the to install solutions.

Is that what you mean?

I found this solution but this is not for my version of tools because in Baan5 the tools version is 7.1_a and the solution will be delivered in the future.

The Percentage done indocator that Omeluck refers to was part of Baan IVc Service Pack 9.

First install 122399xstnd. After that install 123464xstnd. Note, no automatic installation, read instructions carefully.

That will install PMC v2, read 122399: the biggest improvement is the convert RTDD flags that now are set by PMC and the notifications of pre/post installation instructions (besides speed improvements, etc...) I indeed think this should be a mandatory installation since it eases a lot PMC installations!

In fact you need to install a few more solutions (fixes) and, if you use B languages, there's a few more to install (+fixes) that handles them also (no more run of copy software components).

I can provide the full action plan (latest reviewed 2 weeks ago)when I'm on the office tomorrow, but it's worth to go thru all solutions and references to know exactly what is beeing delivered, how it works and what is beeing fixed also.

One thing that does not work is the print pre/post installation flag on check to install that is not saved within the user defaults for that session.

I admit... I mentioned solutions that are relatively new and this functionality is not what was asked for.

Better is indeed to judge for yourself and go to the knowledge base: Search for the latest solutions for a session / component - Session: ttpmc2205 - Version / Release: B40c4 SP6 (leave other fields empty) press search

And / or: Search for the latest solutions for a session / component - Component : iex1288 - Version / Release: B40c4 SP6 (leave other fields empty) press search
