Hi,
I need to create 2 new Baan environments on the new box I just finished installed. One is using stnd and the other is using sch as the extension.
1. I have the following structure now: Is this fine?
For stnd,
B40 c4
B40U c4 stnd
B40C c4 prd1
B40C c4 tst1
B40C c4 dev1
For sch extension,
B40 c4
B40U c4 stnd
B40L c4 sch1
B40U c4 sch1
B40L c4 prd2
B40L c4 tst2
B40L c4 dev2
2. I was reading the PMC guide, and it suggests me to create one more Package VRC B40U c4 sch0 to derive from B40L c4 sch1 and change my existing B40U c4 sch1 to point to this new B40U c4 sch0. Does anyone know why this is required? It doesn't provide an explanation why this is necessary but just suggests this is a required step for using sch1 as the extension.
3. Also, is it required to create A package combination for the Supply Chain VRCs or can't I just define this when I create my Production environment to derive from this B40U c4 sch1.
4. On the pmc guide, it suggests me to create A package combination on the ttpmc2155m000 to add all the maintain VRCs inside. Is this required? I thought when I install SP thru PMC, I will define for which update VRC I want to install the SPs.
5. Is this ok if I only install the standard Service Packs to the B40U c4 stnd layer and the sch SP to the B40U c4 sch1, instead of installing stnd SP again and SCH SP on B40U c4 sch1.
Thanks a lot for anyone's help.
Really Appreciate.
